Perfect baby

Yes I love showing my grandkids off so I have to start right with Joslyn. She is a very pretty baby and very sweet.

Miss Joslyn

Suzanne is a very proud Mommy and you can tell that this new one isn't very popular, everyone is always wanting to hold her and I hope to spoil her with attention. Emma had a very long day with no nap but she was still sweet and is happy to have her sister home.

Grandbaby #8

A few pictures while we were waiting for Miss Joslyn to get here. We tried to make the time go faster by playing phase 10 with Suzanne

Shark trip

So as with every adventure you wait and wait and then it is over so quickly although Frank and I both agree the boat ride there and back took FOREVER. I did fine except the first day was throwing up, but stuck with the motion sick pills and the ginger tabletes. When I didn't feel good I just laid down. I finished a book and laid in the sun. It was pretty crazy to be able to see the sharks from the deck the water was so clear. So tonight back in San Diego all I can say is I couldn't drive, and I have had no alcohol, and we are just hanging out at the hotel and trying to get our land legs....Hey JoAnna and grandkids now I guess I know how the Little Mermaid felt.
Off to Oceanside in the morning to visit the graves of Frank's grandparents and hopefully have breakfast and get pastries and a great Mexican bakery near the Mission. Sea World in the afternoon and then a relaxing evening before heading home on Saturday. The weather is beautiful and it almost makes me want to live here, but I would miss things in Utah if I was here I'm sure.

Sunset

These have been just a few pictures from the shark dive...when the hotel room I'm in stops rocking back and forth I will post some more..But this was a beautiful sunset on our last day there as we were leaving.

Just hum the JAWS theme music while you watch this

Now this is what I call a sunrise

This was sunrise, and yes I got up at 0600 hrs to take these. It was so beautiful the colors are so amazing that a photo can never truly capture it.

SHARKS! BIG Sharks!

One of the other crazy people waving to Frank and turning his back on the shark, yes I know the guys are in a cage but still.... These sharks were between 14 and 15 feet long and weigh about 3,000 lbs.

Crazy

So I understand how some people can be fascinated but hey...there are sharks in the water and you are getting in a cage in the WATER...

And the next adventure...Frank's shark dive

So here are some pics at the beginning of the shark dive...well this is after at 20 hour boat ride....TWENTY hours on a boat and it wasn't Crystal cruises. But we made it and now it begins...

GREATER LOVE HATH NO MAN THAN THIS, THAT A MAN LAY DOWN HIS LIFE FOR HIS FRIENDS

The Law Enforcement memorial was today. To remember those who sacrificed all so they will never be forgotten, and to honor those who ever day put their lives on the line to protect those who others would prey upon.
I am so proud of my son and yet am still in disbelief that he is an officer. He has promised me that although this is a wonderful memorial his name will never be on it. I will hold him to that,my husband has made the same promise. I am very lucky to have two such honorable men in my life, and though the hours are long and the frustration great at times their integrity and their willingness to serve and protect keep them doing what they do.

Memorial

Scattered thoughts...

My mom always use to say she didn't sometimes "have a minute to gather my thoughts", now I realize what she meant. Life goes by faster the older you get as a teenager the days seem so long but now it seems like yesterday I was 15 and now I have a granddaughter that age. So my next blogs with pictures will not be in any order. This kind of bugs me because I like everything in order from the beginning to the end, but that really isn't how life is.....it is sometimes just "scattered".

At last

And so this ends the Baltic cruise pictures... this was a wonderful trip and I am so grateful and still in disbelief of everything I experienced.

For Mercedes-Tivoli Gardens amusement ride

Mercedes you would be on your own with this ride Grandma Kathy is not THAT brave

Copenhagen

Another city I really liked.

Berlin Germany

Not my best experience in Germany, my advice if you go just take the train and then get on one of the hop on hop off bus tours. The train was specially booked for us through Crystal Cruises and it was great but there was a woman in our car that talked, I think it was two hours there and two hours back and thought she knew more than what she did. Frank and Lyndon were measuring the window at one point thinking about throwing her off....we can laugh about it now.

Helsinki Finland

I loved Helsinki Finland I could spend a few weeks at least in this country people are so nice and relaxed.

Peterhof and Crystal's Gala Buffet

It is hard to believe I saw all this and yet, I can close my eyes and feel the day. I am so lucky.

A Night at Catherines Palace

The Hermitage in St Petersburg

This was amazing to see and these are just a few photos. It is really sensory overload and we did not have the best guide. But what we couldn't get over is that with the original Da Vinci's and Monets and all the other priceless pieces, the windows were open, direct sun on these paintings and oil paintings behind glass. You did not have to wear the protective booties and the inlaid wood pictures were from the floor, yet we went to places with scared up wood floors and had to wear the booties.
